COVID-19 Update

Until advised otherwise, we are open as normal – here are some guidelines to help both humans and animals stay safe and healthy.

If your pet needs veterinary attention and:

You have been overseas within the last 14 days
You’re experiencing symptoms
Need to self-isolate

Please phone us on 0428 668 019 for advice and we can make a plan.

In line with social distancing recommendations, we are keeping waiting times to a minimum. We ask you to:

Limit the number of people presenting your animal to just one owner.
When arriving for your appointment, please wait in your car.
Please phone us from your car on arrival and we can return the phone call to welcome you into the clinic when we are ready to see your animal.

If you are leaving an animal in our care please let us use our handling equipment such as leads, halters, collars etc.

Please use hand sanitisers located in the clinic and/or wash your hands.

Please phone ahead to order required prescription medicine repeats or food, worming and flea control in advance so we can arrange to have them ready for you without the need to wait.

We are working hard to ensure we can continue to provide complete veterinary care.

Here at Doctor Ed's Equine Veterinary Services we offer a broad range of first-class services to keep our clients' animals in peak health. Our modern, state-of-the-art practice is ready to receive your horse, or we can come to your premises with our complete ambulatory unit if it is more convenient for you. We also offer emergency veterinary services to ensure your horse will always get the care it needs by your trusted veterinarian, no matter what time it is, day or night .

The whole team are dedicated and passionate about caring for all horses from working horses and kids ponies to competing horses of all disciplines as well as new born foals.

Doctor Ed's Equine Veterinary Services is proud to serve Tamworth region, the Hunter Valley, Armidale, Newcastle, and Walcha. We bring a compassionate and caring side of veterinary medicine to each of our clients and their animals. Our primary focus is on equine veterinary medicine and dentistry. Our staff strives to give the best care possible to each patient, and we are committed to the animals we look after as well as our clients. Our staff is trained in equine reproduction and can monitor your horse throughout this process. We can perform surgical procedures at our facilities or we can offer to come to you with our complete ambulatory set up.

We are also able to cater to your cat or dog, with health checks and other veterinary services available.
